The   Economic  Impacts  of  the  Proposed  Rosemont  Mine   O V E R V I E W Canadian-based Augusta Resources proposes constructing a massive open-pit copper mine in Southern Arizona. The proposed mine would sit on 14,000acres in the Santa Rita Mountains just south of Tucson. The Rosemont Mine would negatively impact the economy and environment of Southern Arizona.
